Course Overview

This course is for people who simply love to sing! In our weekly choir sessions you can expect lot’s of fun and the opportunity to make friends and be part of a community that sings together. You will build vocal skills, whilst developing your singing and confidence and learning a wide range of songs from musical theatre to old classics and contemporary hits. Come and express yourself and build your confidence in a supported, friendly environment sharing our collective love of music and singing.

Sessions are planned with the individual needs of people in mind and delivered in a way which supports each group member’s development and participation. Throughout the year we aim to share what you have created with your families, friends and carers.

Entry Requirements

You will need a keen interest in singing and music and be happy performing as a group.

This course is open to all levels and abilities.

Course information

This course will help to develop your singing voice and your skills to sing together to create some lovely harmonies. This course is also aimed at students who wish to develop their confidence and communication skills.

35 weeks from September to June

Courses are structured with easy to follow instructions and demonstrations. The time is split into manageable tasks with regular breaks and opportunity for social interaction. Students are encouraged to work independently and with others.

During the year we aim to share what they have learnt and created with their families, friends and careers and out in the community with a variety of performances.

Students will all follow a Learning Criteria delivered over the year, assessments will be through tutor lead practical, classroom based activities and observations in class.

All of our courses are aimed to support students develop their employability skills and life skills. Where courses are set a different levels you may which to progress onto the higher level the following year.
